Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about sending a message to a protected @OnlySerious.email address.
What is OnlySeriousEmail?
OnlySeriousEmail is a free inbox protection service. You create a protected
@OnlySerious.email address that routes messages through OSE.
When an unknown sender emails you, OSE requests a small delivery confirmation fee
before forwarding to your real inbox. Trusted contacts are delivered instantly at no cost.
Is it free to use as a recipient?
Yes. Creating a protected address and receiving messages is completely free. Only unknown senders pay a small fee to confirm delivery.
Where should I use my protected address?
Share it anywhere publicly visible: your website, LinkedIn, social profiles, business cards, or any place that can be scraped by bots and spammers. Keep your real inbox private.
How much is the delivery fee?
Each recipient sets their own delivery fee. You will see the exact amount in the payment email.
What happens if I do not pay?
The message is not delivered and no charge is made. You can still reach the recipient through any other channel they provide.
Will my message be changed?
No. We deliver the original message content. The payment process only unlocks delivery.
How do I become trusted?
You become trusted by paying a message confirmation fee. The recipient can also add you to their address book. Future emails may be delivered automatically without another fee.
Are refunds available?
Refunds are available if a technical issue prevents delivery after payment. See the Policies page for details.
How can I check my message status?
Use the message ID from your payment email on the For Senders page to see the current status.
Who keeps the fees?
Currently the fees are retained by the OnlySeriousEmail platform. We may explore a revenue sharing model with users in the future.
